Exploring Martian life with AI
In Alien Worlds I used Stable Diffusion XL to imagine the life forms of an ancient Mars. They are pure imagination, not science, but they get at what might have been in a universe as vast and varied as ours. It leaves me with a question: in an age when AI can render our visions this readily, how do we hold the line between what science knows and what imagination is free to invent?
