Arun Chanchal
Arun Chanchal was a colleague of mine at Srishti Manipal Institute in 2021–22. Trained as both an architect and a graphic designer at NID Ahmedabad, he has real range, from the fine detail of typography through graphic design and well beyond it, and he brings the same care to whatever design problem is in front of him.
The work is only part of it. Arun is warm and easy to know, and he connects with people without effort. He loves to travel, and that curiosity about the world feeds his work. Students think highly of him, as much for his gentle, patient teaching as for how much he knows, and he's genuinely invested in their growth as designers. He's a fine designer and teacher, and good company besides.
