A short bio of my path so far

I grew up in India, with an early interest in science and maths that was sparked by A Brief History of Time and Cosmos. That curiosity led me to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (2008-12). I wanted to understand where technology fits in society, so I went on to a postgraduate degree in Innovation and Experience Design at Srishti (2013-15). There I first met human-centered design (HCD), and started thinking about how technology can be designed for people, and where it falls short.

Between 2008 and 2015, I worked as an independent designer, mostly on competitions run by global companies. From 2017 to 2022, I taught at Srishti-Manipal, in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), mathematics, and programming, and I tried to carry ethical and human-centered thinking into both my teaching and my research. In 2023 I went back to studying, to build deeper knowledge in ML. I want to keep building things that bring ML, HCI, and engineering together, and to do it responsibly.
