Visual Thinking Tools
This workshop introduced first-year visual communication design students to visual ways of thinking. They made several anamorphic artworks without planning them out on paper, working instead from the help of their peers. In the second half they learned about Rube Goldberg machines and built elaborate contraptions for deliberately silly purposes through trial and error. The point was to give them room to stretch their visual thinking.
